  3. Old Business
    1. Update on Glenmary Missionary: They have moved their residence and are adjusting to the new place. Things are going well with Brother Jason. They are currently working on writing grants. Brother Jason’s home parish came to help with the gymnasium. As there is still a need for diapers in sizes 4 and 5, a blurb can be posted in the bulletin. Brother Jason can visit May 4-5 (prefered) or May 11-12 as he will be graduating in May. When he visits in May, plans for Vacation Bible School can be prepared.
    2. Pastoral Council Nominations and Elections: Nominations took place Feb 2-3 and Feb 9-10. A list was made of all those who were nominated for both parishes. Both lists were checked for eligible nominees (See Article II of the Constitution) according to the Joint Pastoral Constitution. All those eligible from both parishes were contacted. If the nomination was accepted, the nominee was asked to write and email no more than a 2 paragraph biography and picture. They were asked to have the bios in no later than Feb 28. These will be posted (flyer/poster) in Church for the weekend of March 2-3, and March 9-10. This will allow time for all parishioners to get to know who the candidates are prior to the elections that will be held on the weekend of March 16-17. St Joseph had 38 total nominations, 10 were ineligible, 10 accepted, and 18 declined. St Paul had 24 total nominations, 8 ineligible, 5 accepted, and 10 declined.

  1. New Business
    1. OLMC report: Juanita reported on OLMC. All is going well. Principal Faye Myatt will be resigning after this school year. The forecasted budget for next year was projected at $150,000, however, only $100,000 will be received. OLMC may look into costs of tuition and using other funds to help offset the budget.
    2. Talking points from Fr. Brian: We have looked at 3 points from the results of the Listening Session, and now we want to focus on 3 more. Discussion was held on how to create a quieter and more prayerful atmosphere. An announcement can be made to help facilitate in a quieter environment. There is an increasing need for grief/bereavement ministry for both parishes, and there are parishioners who are showing interest. We are continuing education/ bible study through Matthew Kelly and book studies. Once a month a discussion can be held at each parish about our patron saint. We have regularly scheduled Eucharistic Adoration. We have 4 more altar servers for St Joseph and 2 for St Paul. The debt has been considerably lowered at St Joseph to $5,000. Fostering a community of faith that supports one another for Spring Break Bible School, along with Vacation Bible School. For those interested,  A silent Jesuit retreat will be occurring in our diocese, information for the retreat can be found in the bulletin.
